Miles Perret Cancer Services is a comprehensive resource center helping those in our community fighting cancer. Since opening our doors on June 27, 2002, over 4,000 families in Acadiana have been helped. We are here to serve families in Acadiana fighting and surviving cancer, with care and compassion.

We work to meet the non-medical, unmet needs that cancer brings - emotional, financial, and physical. We take a personal approach to all that we do and all that we provide. Cancer brings unique challenges to each person and family - we work to ease these challenges and enhance quaility of life for the newly diagnosed, long-term survivors, and their families.
These services are made available at no charge as a result of the generosity of those sponsoring and participating in the GAMES OF ACADIANA, a variety of family oriented games held at Lafayette’s Cajundome.
The initial GAMES, held August 25, 2001, were the vision of friends of 8 year old Miles Perret, who succumbed to a brain tumor (glioblastoma) in 1996. Realizing the local needs of cancer patients and their families, Miles’ friends developed the GAMES OF ACADIANA fundraiser, whose amazing success enabled Miles Perret Cancer Services to open less than a year after the first GAMES.
The GAMES OF ACADIANA is the Center’s principal source of funding. Additionally, the Center accepts private donations, memorial gifts, and grants and hosts small fundraising events. Each August, the GAMES OF ACADIANA feature an entire day of games, music and fun for all ages.
